Mural Unveilings

Wednesday, November 9, 2016, 6 - 8 PM

Featuring new mural, Neon Drive, by Iker Muro along the Nolan Street Underpass, Daniel Eime on Burnet Street at Cherry Street, and Los Dos on Cherry Street under the Hays Street Bridge.   Also look for the works of Arlene Mejorado throughout the eastside neighborhood.

These public art murals were created as part of the Eastside Public Art Residencies Program, commissioned by Public Art San Antonio, and supported by the City of San Antonio and the National Endowment for the Arts Our Town Grant. The Eastside Public Art Residencies Program is a partnership between the Department of Arts and Culture, the Office of Eastpoint, the United Way of Bexar County, and San Antonio: Eastside Choice, in collaboration with the San Antonio Housing Authority and the City of San Antonio’s Planning and Community Development Department.

Featuring new art works by Aerial Horizon, ARCOS, Brett Elmendorf (r26D), Calico Club, David Hale, Diego Bernal and Ernest Gonzalez, Joan Frederick, Kara Salinas, Margaret Craig and The Hays Bridge Poets.

Featuring new art works by Annele Spector and Kitty Williams, ARCOS, Arte y Pasion, ArtX Non-Profits, Ballet San Antonio, Brandon Cunningham, Cuerpo Etereo, David Hale, Diana Kersey and Kambri Hernandez, Dixon's Violin, Garrett T. Caps and Phillip Luna, Gemini Ink, Joe Reyes and Paul Fauerso, Margaret Craig, Ray Santisteban, Renaissance Guild, Sarah Brooke Lyons, Saakred, San Antonio New Media Collective,  Sujata Ventateswar and Greg Hinojosa, and The Three Artistas (Oscar Alvarado, Jesse Borrego, and Jacinto Guevera).

Explore the arts in the downtown east neighborhood. Open Studios to include sculptor James Hetherington and artists at Calliente Hot Glass Studio. Open Houses featuring student works at Healy-Murphy Center and Ella Austin Community Center. Musical performances , Dig That Jazz, by the Dignowity Neighborhood Association at Lockwood/ Dignowity Park.
