Arte y Pasión

For Luminaria 2018,Arte y Pasióngenerated a symphonic balance between the flamenco, classical, performing and fine arts to elevate the Spanish dance art form while emphasizing harmony in diversity. Their performance titledAguitas, named after “”the rivers and tributaries in our souls.”” The thread of culture that stretched from the Moorish world to Spain, then to the Southwest United States brought the technology of the acequia as well as the introduction of flamenco to this region. Just as the technology of the acequia, flamenco tells the story of division and convergence. Arte y Pasión performed at the Mexican Cultural Institute.
