Luminaria ChangeMakers are the vanguard supporters of progressive arts programming in San Antonio.

Cultivate Creativity

Individuals, businesses, and organizations are also needed to propel the arts in our community at any level that fits their budget. Community Outreach

Spread the word about the free annual Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival, the Luminaria Artist Foundation individual artist grants program, our PlaceMaking programs, and other enterprising opportunities for regional, national, and international artists.


Contemporary Arts Festival

Join our team in presenting a spectacular evening of the arts at the celebrated Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Hemisfair! Volunteers will help visitors navigate the festival footprint and collect vital audience feedback while staffing info booths.


Internships

Become an Intern for Luminaria and learn about the exciting world of arts production and administration. Positions are available for enthusiastic collaborators with a talent for organization. Primary responsibilities include promotion of Luminaria’s programs, including the Contemporary Arts Festival, and coordination of event logistics. Additional responsibilities may be assigned depending upon individual expertise. Set office hours will be established, and additional event hours could include community outreach events, production meetings, and special events.

Please send a cover letter with résumé to Admin@LuminariaSA.org. If you are accepted, Luminaria will provide feedback to your university or college in accordance with academic requirements. Luminaria will also award a $500 stipend for successful completion of the internship hours and responsibilities.

Volunteers must be 16 years or older. Let us know if you are a student or need community hours recorded, and we will provide documentation.
