John Hernandez

John Hernandez is a visual artist drawing on popular culture creating art works seem to be caught in a psychedelic moment. His Luminaria sculptures are representative of fragmented cartoon figures with projected visuals as if a virus overtakes them. Topping the carnival approach was a Gorilla reading a newspaper, representing just another casual day.

John Hernandez’s work was installed and perfomed at the San Antonio Museum of Art on February 19th.
