Nan Cuba gave a reading from her latest novel, He Didn’t Kill Nobody but Mom, a tragicomic novel about the equivocal nature of justice and the inability to predict the damaging effects of one’s actions. At the center is a criminal investigation, headed by the Texas Rangers and based in Bandera, Texas. Law enforcement personnel come from across the country to interview a suspected serial killer. However, this is not a simple crime story. The focus is on those surrounding the suspect, particularly a novice journalist.
