San Antonio Film Festival

For Luminaria 2019, San Antonio Film Festival will present a screening of The Cheech by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Edward Tyndall. Through the palette of the Art Museum of South Texas’s exhibit Los Tejanos: Chicano Art from the Collection of Cheech Marin, the film explores Marin’s lifelong advocacy of the Chicano Art Movement. With an original score by Grammy-nominated musician El Dusty, this film takes a fascinating look at a national icon’s love affair with art and his incredible contribution to preserve a vital part of American cultural identity.
