Xavier Gilmore

Xavier Gilmore holds a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Texas at San Antonio. As an interdisciplinary artist, his work largely focuses on the exploration of topical and topographical histories of identity, culture and spaces. Gilmore has exhibited internationally in Mexico and regionally at Artpace, The McNay, Bluestar Contemporary, and more. For Luminaria 2018, Gilmore presented a performance titled Reprise, which paid tribute to San Antonio’s celebrated historic percussionist, Bongo Joe.
