
Guillermo Gómez-Peña is a Chicano performance artist, art theorist and activist. He is the Creative Director of La Pocha Nostra, a “Conceptual Institute of Hybrid Art.” Most recently he was awarded a United States Artists Fellowship, an American Book Award, and was the first Chicano artist to receive a John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Fellowship. Gomez-Peña presented the cultural boundary pushing and Texas premiere of Imaginary Activism for Luminaria.
