For Luminaria 2018,SAY Síartists presented an exhibit titledOmitted Histories, an investigation of eradicated local narratives through extensive research using oral histories, accounts from historians, local mythology and archival materials. In their work, students acknowledged why these stories have been neglected and the mechanisms that keep them hidden.While the exhibit was mainly focused on 2D and 3D work, the artists showcased interpretive elements that illustrated their commitment to inclusion, equity and social justice, all key components of their core values.
