Virginia Grise and Rafa Esparza

A collaboration between multidisciplinary artist Rafa Esparza and Virginia Grise, an actor, writer and playwright, their piece for Luminaria is inspired by the writings of Joe Jiménez in The Presence of Absence and Kites. The commissioned piece, flesh and bone, and from the Earth’s body: how do you pull your own sadness up from the ground? Their collaboration created an intimate site specific performance ritual.

The site specific performance was presented on October 23rd through to October 24th.
