The festival focused on San Antonio’s Tricentennial, asking artists to consider the history, place and culture of the city. A Mural by Daniel Muñoz from Spain with Public Art San Antonio was created on the Magik Theatre. Partnerships with National Association of Latino Arts & Culture, the Artist Foundation of San Antonio and the Mexican Consulate contributed featured artists. The Community Arts Day encompassed artist brunches, workshops, demonstrations and a new artist market. A closing performance was staged at the historic Mission San José in partnership with the National Park Service.
